Privacy policy under the GDPR

Protecting your data is important to us!

Thank you for your interest in our website and our services and products. Protecting your personal data is very important to us. Compliance with European (DSGVO) and German (BDSG) data protection regulations is therefore a matter of course for us. Here we would like to inform you about when we collect which data and how we use it.

1. Personal data

You can use our website without providing personal data. Different rules may apply to individual services on our website; where this is the case, they are explained separately below. We process your personal data (e.g. name, email address, telephone number and similar information) only in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the German Data Protection Adaptation and Implementation Act (EU). Data is personal if it can be clearly attributed to a specific natural person.

Please note that data transmission over the internet has security vulnerabilities; complete protection against access by third parties is not possible.

a) When visiting our website

When you visit our website, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to our website’s server. This information is temporarily stored in a log file. The following information is recorded without any action on your part and stored until it is automatically deleted:

  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the file accessed
  • Website from which access originates (referrer URL)
  • Browser used and, where applicable, your computer’s operating system and the name of your internet service provider

We process the above data for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring a smooth connection to the website
  • Ensuring convenient use of our website
  • Evaluating system security and stability, as well as for other administrative purposes

The legal basis for processing this data is Article 6(1) GDPR. Our legitimate interest arises from the purposes for collecting data listed above. Under no circumstances do we use the data collected to draw conclusions about you as an individual, for example by creating personal user profiles.

b) When using our contact form and booking a demo

Our website offers you the option to contact us using a contact form or the „Book a demo“ button. In this case, we process the information you provide to handle your voluntary enquiry and to safeguard our own legitimate business interests in advising and supporting you (Article 6 GDPR). The information is not disclosed to third parties.

In connection with a presentation or contact via a video conferencing service, participants’ personal data is processed, in particular registration and contact details, communication content and technical connection data. The processing is carried out for the purpose of conducting meetings, presentations and consultations, and initiating or maintaining business relationships. The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or performance of a contract) or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient communication).

Further information on data processing by the respective video conferencing service can be found in the privacy notices provided by the relevant service provider.

Your data is processed until you withdraw your consent.

2. Disclosure of data

Your personal data is not transferred to third parties or third countries unless the requirements for lawful processing under Article 6 GDPR are met. In brief, these are:

  • Your consent
  • The establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, where there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in your data not being disclosed
  • A legal obligation
  • The performance of contractual relationships

3. Security

We have implemented extensive technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. Our security procedures are reviewed regularly and adapted to technological developments.

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries you send us, we use SSL encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection when the browser’s address bar changes from “http://” to “https://” and a padlock symbol appears in the browser bar. When SSL encryption is enabled, third parties cannot read the data you send us.

When they begin working at Facility Consultants GmbH, our employees are required by us to maintain confidentiality and comply with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Data Protection Adaptation and Implementation Act (EU).

4. Rights of data subjects

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data stored by us free of charge
  • Have inaccurate personal data rectified or incomplete personal data completed
  • Have your personal data erased
  • Restrict the processing of your personal data
  • Data portability for your personal data
  • Withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data
  • Lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in Stuttgart, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, if your data is processed unlawfully

Please feel free to contact us if you wish to exercise your rights.

5. Right to object

If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6(1), first sentence, point (f) GDPR, you have the right under Article 21 GDPR to object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation or if your objection concerns direct marketing. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which we will honour without requiring you to specify a particular situation. Data processing remains lawful up to the point at which consent is withdrawn.

If you wish to exercise your right to withdraw consent or to object, simply send an email to info@facility-consultants.com

6. Objection to unsolicited promotional emails

We hereby object to the use of contact details published as part of the mandatory legal notice to send advertising and informational materials that have not been expressly requested. We expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising being sent, for example via spam emails.
